Free NHL Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/21/22

Last night, we saw another low-scoring defensive battle in Carolina where the Hurricanes shutout the Rangers and grabbed a 2-0 lead in their Best of 7 series. Meanwhile, in the Battle for Alberta, the Flames scored two quick goals and looked like they were headed for their 2nd straight win at home. But the Oilers bounced back and outscored Calgary 5-1 the rest of the way to even things up at 1-1 as the two teams head north to Edmonton. Tonight, we have a pivotal Game 3 in St.Louis between the Blues and Colorado. This should be a highly entertaining game between these two great teams.

We missed our Best Bet last night as we picked Calgary to handle the Oilers. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 57-41 since the All-Star Break.

We went 1-1 betting the MoneyLine correctly picking the Hurricanes but whiffing on Calgary. Our overall record is now 372-210 as the playoffs continue.

There is only 1 game on the schedule for tonight but is should be must-see-hockey. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the Colorado-St.Louis Game 3 matchup.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Colorado at St.Louis: The series is tied 1-1: The Blues bounced back Thursday night with a confidence-boosting 4-1 victory over the Avalanche in Denver. Despite taking Colorado to overtime in Game 1, the Blues were badly outplayed and were fortunate to have had a chance to win. They were terrible in puck possession, lost 34 out of 53 faceoffs and gave Colorado too much room to skate. That wasn’t the case in Game 2 as St.Louis won 60% of the faceoffs, blocked 18 Colorado shots, and committed only 2 penalties. They grabbed a 2-0 second period lead and played a solid third period to win and even up the series. David Perron scored two goals and Jordan Binnington continued to be outstanding in goal, stopping 30 of 31 Avalanche shots. Colorado looked like an overconfident team in Game 2 and didn’t have the intensity needed to win playoff games. We won’t see that tonight, as St.Louis is going to get their best shot. They will come into the Enterprise Center with a grudge and we will know in the first period if the Blues are for real. If they can weather the pressure and intensity of Colorado, and if Binnington continues to be solid in goal, the Blues have a great chance at an upset. They know they can beat Colorado goaltender, Darcy Kuemper, and that is another reason, I’m picking an upset tonight. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on the Blues +140
