NFC Playoff Projections as of 12/28/21

NFC PROJECTED PLAYOFF WINNERS:

TAMPA BAY 11-4: The Buccaneers have a home game left with Carolina and go on the road against the New York Jets. They are struggling with injuries, but it is hard seeing them losing either of those games. Chances of Winning the Division and Making the Playoffs: 100%

DALLAS 11-4: The Cowboys have the division locked up and are the No.2 seed in the NFC at this point. They are playing for the top spot and have a home game this week with Arizona, and finish the season in Philadelphia. Chances of Winning the Division and Making the Playoffs: 100%

GREEN BAY 12-3: The Packers stay as the top seed in the NFC with their win over Cleveland. They have very winnable games left against Minnesota at home, and finish on the road at Detroit. They are in the driver’s seat. Chances of Winning the Division and Making the Playoffs: 100%

LA RAMS 11-4: Now, they have the division lead over the Cardinals and their challenge is to keep it. Their remaining schedule is tough, beginning with a road game this week at Baltimore and at home against San Francisco. Neither of those are gimmes. Chances of Winning the Division: 75%. Chances of Making the Playoffs: 100%

NFC WILD CARD CONTENDERS:

ARIZONA 10-5: Now they have lost three in a row, and have lost the division lead. Can they get the magic back, or are they stumbling to the finish line? Suddenly, they are doubting everything they are doing and it doesn’t get any easier this week with a road game against the high-flying Cowboys. They finish up the regular season against Seattle and might need that to have some good feelings entering the playoffs. Chances of Winning the Division: 25%. Chances of Making the Playoffs:100%

SAN FRANCISCO 8-7: The Niners lost a tough game on Thursday night to a good Tennessee team. That was entirely unexpected, but now they have to bounce back and win the last two. They have an absolute must win this week at home against Houston, and finish up on the road with the Rams. Winning the Division: 0%. Making the Playoffs 60%

PHILADELPHIA 8-7: The Eagles whipped up on the Giants last week and they are making an impressive run at making the playoffs. They control their own destiny and are in, for sure, if they win out. They are on the road at Washington this week, and finish with Dallas at home. Keep in mind, the Cowboys might know their seed in that last game and rest some of their starters. Winning the Division 0%. Making the Playoffs 50%

NEW ORLEANS 7-8: The Saints were hit hard by COVID on Monday night and lost to the Dolphins, dealing them a big blow. However, they are still in the hunt because they have winnable games left at against the Panthers, in New Orleans, and on the road at Atlanta. Winning the Division 0%. Making the Playoffs: 30%

MINNESOTA 7-8: The Vikings defense let them down again as they gave up 30 points in a must-win game at home against the Rams. They aren’t out of it yet, but they are in critical condition. They play Green Bay on the road and finish with the Bears at home. They have to win them both. Winning the Division 0%. Making the Playoffs 20%

ATLANTA 7-8: They are alive mathematically, and they still have a shot. They have to beat Buffalo on the road and New Orleans at home in their last two games to have any hope. Winning the Division: 0%. Making the Playoffs: 5%
