Free Pick: Ole Miss (4-1) at Tennessee (4-2) 10/16/21

This is quietly a pretty big win in the SEC. The Rebels are trying to win the rest of their games and stay in the hunt in the SEC West division. Can they do it; probably not. Meanwhile, Coach Josh Heupel is quietly doing a fantastic job at Tennessee, which was a disaster waiting to happen. In the last two weeks, they have outscored Missouri and South Carolina 107-44. This should be a great game. Here are the matchups:

QUARTERBACKS: Ole Miss quarterback, Matt Corral continues to be impressive. He has 101 completions for 1497 yards, 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also has rushed for 322 yards and has 8 rushing touchdowns. Hendon Hooker took over as the Tennessee quarterback when Joe Milton was injured. He has played very well, with 78 completions for 1063 yards and 13 touchdowns. He is also a threat to run and has 345 yards for 3 more touchdowns. Advantage: Ole Miss

RUNNING BACKS: Henry Parrish leads Mississippi with 54 carries for 339 yards. Corral is the second leading rusher. Tiyon Evans leads the Volunteers with 493 yards on 73 carries and Hooker is the 2nd leading rusher. Advantage: Neither

RECEIVERS: Dontario Drummond, Braylon Sanders, and Johnathan Mingo have combined for 53 catches for 1042 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead the Rebels. Tennessee has Velus Jones with 22 receptions and 342 yards. Advantage: Ole Miss

DEFENSE: Both teams are similar on defense. They each have defensive fronts who can put pressure on the opposing quarterback (13 sacks for Ole Miss, 14 for Tennessee). Tennessee has forced 7 interceptions so their secondary has been solid. Ole Miss has been poor against the run and that will be something to watch. Advantage: Tennessee

This one has a high-scoring ,shootout written all over it. Both teams are explosive on offense and are balanced. This game is huge for Tennessee as they play at Alabama and Kentucky and have a home game against Georgia as their next three opponents. On the other hand, Ole Miss has already played Alabama and Arkansas, and have a schedule where they could win all the rest. Mississippi is a 3-point favorite.
