Free NCAA College Basketball Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for Elite 8 East and Midwest Regional Finals 3/27/22

We are down to the Elite Eight on Sunday as the East and Midwest Region will produce the last two Final four participants. Villanova and Duke punched their ticket last night and both were very impressive. Today they will find out who their opponents will be next Saturday.

Late last night we lost our Best Bet, as Duke handled Arkansas a lot easier than I thought they would. The Blue Devils played extremely well and Arkansas was no match for them. That lowered our Best Bet of the Day record to 59-35 since Jan.1st.

We went 2-0 betting the MoneyLine as we got both of the Elite 8 games correct and that leaves us with a record of 673-153 (81%) in 2022.

There were 2 games involving Top-25 teams and we went 1-1 betting the spread making some money on the Houston-Arizona game. Our record betting the spread is now 144-102.

#10 Miami 26-10 vs. #1 Kansas 31-6 (-6) in Chicago: In the first game of the day, top-seeded Kansas takes on a dangerous Miami. The Hurricanes eliminated Iowa State on Friday and are fully capable of making a run at the Jayhawks. Kansas was taken to the limit by a good Providence team and came away with a win. They should be able to handle Miami and I think they cover. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Kansas -6

#15 St.Peter’s 22-11 vs. #8 North Carolina 27-9 (-8.5) in Philadelphia: The Cinderella story continues today in Philadelphia as the basketball world will be tuned in to see if St.Peter’s can actually get to the Final Four. The mystery to me, is how they lost 11 games playing in the conference that they do? Looking back on their regular season, 3 of their losses were to Providence, St.John’s, and VCU, which are all to be expected. But the other 8 came against the likes of St.Francis, Stony Brook, Canisius, Rider, Iona twice, and Siena twice. It just doesn’t make sense. But, here they are and they have matched up with Kentucky, Murray State, and Purdue physically and athletically. Do they have a chance today? I think we have to say yes. Meanwhile, North Carolina is in a similar situation as the Peacocks, in the fact that they are playing their best ball of the season at the right time. They have been grossly disrespected all year and only have 2 losses to teams that didn’t make the NCAA tournament. The selection committee, the basketball experts, and the AP voters owe them a huge apology. But, they are going to get the last laugh, because they should win this game today and make it to the Final Four. PAPA DUDES PICK: North Carolina -8.5
