March Madness has begun as we enter day 3 of this crazy month in the college basketball world. Conference tournament action is upon us and the regular season is coming down to the final weekend. It was another great night of basketball to watch.

We missed our Best Bet as Xavier, probably lost all chance of an NCAA tournament bid. when they fell to St.John’s. That lowered our Best Bet of the Day record to 44-29 since Jan. 1st.

We placed 14 bets on the MoneyLine and ended up going 12-2. Our record now stands at 575-126 (82%) for 2022.

There were four games involving Top-25 teams and we went 3-1 picking winners and 3-1 betting the spread. Our record climbs to 92-67 betting the spread on Top-25 games.

And finally, we cashed another parlay turning a $15 wager into $88.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Loyola-Maryland 14-15 at Boston 20-11 (-6): I had to did deep to find a best bet for today. I have picked Boston several times on the MoneyLine and I think they can cover in this game. Besides, I think Terriers is a cool mascot. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Boston -6

GAMES INVOLVING TOP-25 TEAMS:

Temple 16-10 at #14 Houston 25-4 (-15.5): Temple is one of those teams that is hard to blow out. They play extremely hard and hang around and I expect them to do that against this dominant Houston team. I think the Cougars win but 16 points is a lot to cover against a 16-win team. PAPA DUDES PICK: Temple +15.5

Penn State 12-14 at #20 Illinois 20-8 (-12.5): This is another game where the point spread is the issue. Can Illinois cover that many points against an outmanned Penn State team? Of all the double-digit favorites tonight, I think they have the best chance to do it. The Illini has been struggling of late and they need a feel-good type of game going into a wide-open Big 10 tournament next week. PAPA DUDES PICK: Illinois -12.5

Michigan State 19-10 at #22 Ohio State 18-9 (-6): No clue on this one and if you do, you are better than me. These two teams have beat me numerous times this year and now they matchup in Columbus. They both are inconsistent and there is nothing reliable about either one of them. Take my sincere advice; don’t bet this game!! PAPA DUDES PICK: Michigan State +6

TCU 19-9 at #6 Kansas 23-6 (-10.5): TCU beat Kansas by 10 points on Monday in Fort Worth and now they are 10.5 dogs tonight in Lawrence? Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. No, I don’t think TCU is going to beat KU two straight times, but a 20-point swing seems a bit much to a logical bettor. I think the Jayhawks bounce back and break their 2-game skid, but fail to cover. PAPA DUDES PICK: TCU +10.5

Stanford 15-13 at #2 Arizona 26-3 (-18.5): Everyone must know by now I hate betting these games with huge point spreads. Is there a doubt in anyone’s mind that Arizona is going to win? Of course not, but 18.5 points is a lot to win a game by, especially against a conference team that has 18 wins. But, Stanford has been awful as of late and seem to be playing out the string. Oh Hell, I can’t do it; just too many points to cover. PAPA DUDES PICK: Stanford +18.5

#24 Iowa 21-8 at Michigan 16-12 (-2): First of all, let me say straight up. I’m not touching this game. This is a tough one to judge and an equal case can be made for both teams. I’ll take Iowa just because I don’t like Michigan. PAPA DUDES PICK: Iowa +2
