Adventuring Wins Bourbonette Oaks

FLORENCE, KY – Ridden by Florent Geroux and trained by Brad Cox, Godolphin’s Adventuring posted a 2-length win in the $150,000 Bourbonette Oaks, completing the two-turn mile in 1:37.31.

Adventuring was the 5/2 favorite and returned $7.20, $5 and $3.60. Spritz held second and paid $24.60 and $11.60. Candace O finished third and paid $5.60.

Oliviaofthedesert, Wait for Nairobi, Forever Boss, Roll Up Mo Money, Into Vanishing, Speeding, and California Lily completed the order of finish.

“She showed a lot of class today getting black-type,” Geroux said. “She seems to be moving in the right direction with this level of competition. She’s won on the dirt at Fair Grounds and now on the Tapeta. I think she could run well on the turf, probably, too.”

The Bourbonette Oaks is part of the Road to the 2021 Kentucky Oaks prep race season. Adventuring earned 20 points for the win, with Spritz receiving 8 for second, Candace O 4 for third, and Oliviaofthedesert 2 for fourth.
