( Content Continues Below Ad ) Dragon’s Brew followed up his debut score with a repeat effort in the $250,000 Simcoe Stakes, defeating nine other juvenile colts and geldings by 2 1/2 lengths while completing the 6 1/2-furlong fast synthetic sprint in a final time of 1:17.90. Daisuke Fukumoto was aboard the Goldmart Farms homebred for trainer Robert Tiller. The Milwauke Brew gelding has now earned $171,365. Dragon’s Brew returned $8.10 to win, $4.40 to place, and $2.90 to show. All Canadian brought back $14.10 to place and $8.80 to show, while Took a Wrong Turn paid $6.80 to show. El Bayern (Credit: Michael Burns Photo) Trainer Michael Mattine couldn’t have drawn up a more perfect career debut for El Bayern, who pulled off a 23/1 upset in the $250,000 Muskoka Stakes, a 6 1/2-furlong fast synthetic sprint that attracted 10 juvenile fillies. Sheena Ryan was aboard the Bayern filly, whom owner Stacey Van Camp purchased for just over $6,000 last September and earned $114,523 in victory. El Bayern returned $48.00 to win, $16.30 to place, and $9.10 to show. For My Elbi brought back $3.50 to place and $2.60 to show, while Ms Wicked paid $3.60 to show. Marjorie’s Dream (Credit: Michael Burns Photo) Marjorie’s Dream led from start to finish and had just enough left to hold on as the 9/5 favorite and win the $135,000 Algoma Stakes, a 7-furlong fast synthetic sprint for 3-year-old fillies. Patrick Husbands rode the bettors’ choice to her first career stakes score for trainer Randy Thompson, who also co-owns with John McMullan. The Old Forester filly improved her record to 4-2-1-0 with $103,032 earned. Marjorie’s Dream returned $5.60 to win, $3.40 to place, and $3.20 to show. Silent Causeway brought back $3.40 to place and $3 to show, while Bambarra Bay paid $13.50 to show. Told It All (Credit: Michael Burns Photo) Told It All closed out the 11-race card by driving off in the stretch under Luis Contreras to win the $135,000 Elgin Stakes, a 7-furlong fast synthetic sprint for 3-year-old colts and geldings. Told It All proved to be an instant success for trainer Norm McKnight and owner Rainbow Stables, who claimed the Big Screen gelding for $25,000 out of a local race last month. He won for the third straight time to improve his record to 6-3-0-1 with $112,985 earned. Told It All returned $20.60 to win, $12.50 to place, and $7.50 to show. Benlion brought back $56.90 to place and $20.90 to show, while Forester’s Fortune paid $3.70 to show.
