The Somobombs: Picks for Belmont Park with the Late Pick 4 for September 26th, 2021

Well Parx went full Parx on us with a crazy bomb followed by a chalk fest to close out the card. Crazy payout on the Pick 5, over $4,500, for a sequence that featured 4 favorites winning. Today Belmont has an amazing card with a ton of turf racing and I’ve got 3 horses I stabled up that are coming back today so I’m excited to see how this plays out! Race 7 – $40k N2L Claimers – 1 1/16M on Turf

The #7 Agent Creed is logically placed today after being way over his head last time out, look for a much improved performance. Similarly, #5 Made My Day enters for a tag for the first time since winning at Belmont going this distance to break his maiden. Let’s use pace player #9 Silver Token then add #2 Prefect and #8 Voliero.

Race 8 – Statebred $80k N1X – 1M on Turf

The first of my trouble trip horses shows up here. #13 Just Ok is Not Okay is coming off two terrible trips and should be sitting a perfect trip behind a lone leader. Let’s include that speed, #7 My Lips Are Sealed should be loose up front and dangerous. Finally, add the #4 English Breeze who could be sitting on a big one 2nd off the bench for David Donk.

Race 9 – The Gallant Bloom – 6 1/2F on Dirt

This is a two horse race, but you shouldn’t use them both in a Pick 4 so you’ve got to take a stand. I’ll take the horse with the pace advantage #1 Bella Sofia.

Race 10 – $40k N2L Claimers – 6F on Turf

The #2 High School Crush exits a key race, top 2 have won next out as well as the 7th place runner, and had a world of trouble in that race being forced to check twice and never having a clean path to run. #12 Back Channel should control the pace up front and needs to make the ticket. I’ll spread in here adding the #7 Athena Dancer, #9 Thoedora Grace and #13 Happy Hill Lil.
