Ricky’s Rockets 🚀: Belmont Park, Ellis Park and Gulfstream Park Picks for July 9, 2021

#RickysRockets🚀 is back on Friday afternoon after traveling the United States. It’s rare we get a chance to cover Delaware Park, Indiana Grand and Lone Star Park, in the middle of July. As we head toward opening weekend, we are back racing at Belmont Park, Ellis Park and Gulfstream Park. We are also less than a week away to opening day at Saratoga, and one week away to opening day at Del Mar!

Belmont Park July 9, 2021

Race 6: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

TURF RUNNERS SCRATCHED! USING #2X BLEWITT AND #3 DANNY CALIFORNIA!

Race 7: $45,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for New York-bred 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt

#4 Too Early has gotten better and better with each start, but his last two have been the best by far. Jose Lezcano gave him a perfect four/five-wide move last time out, but just ran out of time. #6 Danebury has the speed to take this group gate-to-wire, but he was too fast for his own good last time out.

Race 8: $80,000 Allowance Optional Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

Race 9: $40,000 Claiming for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the dirt OFF TURF

#9 Giggle Factory may be on the lead in this one, and have the chance to go the whole way. Her talent doesn’t quite stack up to the rest of the field, but she will be a main contender. #10 Freddymo Factor is SCRATCHED! ALSO USING: #12 SWEET LARISSA!
