Ricky’s Rockets ?: Aqueduct, Del Mar, and Keeneland Picks for November 6, 2020

Breeders’ Cup weekend has finally arrived. We kick off the two-day mega event with a 10 races, all of them stakes races, highlighted by 5 Breeders’ cup races. Friday is known as Future Stars Friday, and we will see some of the best two year olds in 2020.

Also included below: my 10-race preview of Aqueduct and 8-race preview of Del Mar.

Best of luck!

Race 7: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) for 2-year-old colts and geldings going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the turf

#1 Sealiway will be trying 8 furlongs for the first time in his career for Fredric Rossi. Europeans have done well in this race and it’s hard to argue a horse that’s won 4/6 races with two of those being stakes races. #5 Cadillac doesn’t have as much experience as Sealiway, but he has one race going 8 furlongs, where he won by 3 1/2 lengths. The dominance by European runners should continue once again.

Race 8: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) for 2-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt

#1 Simply Ravishing won the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1) from start to finish for Kenny McPeek. She will look to stay undefeated along with #3 Dayoutoftheoffice. Both of these runners are undefeated and have been doing so impressively. The Bob Baffert trainee Princess Noor looks good on paper, but these two have just been quicker.

Race 9: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) for 2-year-old fillies going 1 mile (8 furlongs) on the turf

#4 Plum Ali enters this spot undefeated for Christophe Clement. She’s proven time and time again she can handle 8 furlongs, all on different tracks. Joel Rosario is aboard for the first time since she broke her maiden back in July. #5 Aunt Pearl also has shown she can go this distance on multiple occasions for Brad Cox. These two stand out on paper, and figure to run 1-2 in this race.

Race 10: TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) for 2-year-old colts and geldings going 1 1/16 miles (8 1/2 furlongs) on the dirt

#3 Reinvestment Risk has finished second behind #7 Jackie’s Warrior in two straight starts in the Hopeful Stakes (G1) and Champagne Stakes (G1). He will need to get better to beat Jackie’s Warrior who hasn’t won a race by less then two lengths. Joel Rosario likes to come from behind when he rides, but he knows he has to get this colt to the front end as soon as possible.
