Three 2020 Breeders’ Cup Singles

We’ve given weekly updates on our top picks for each race heading into the 2020 Breeders’ Cup, but now let’s focus on the most logical singles who you can trust to let you go deep in other races to cash a big Breeders’ Cup Pick 4 or 5 ticket. These three horses could do just that:

1. Jackie’s Warrior – Juvenile

The standout of Friday’s Breeders’ Cup card has dominated every start and was simply breathtaking in the Champagne Stakes (G1) last time out, earning a 100 Beyer Speed Figure. He could easily be Friday’s biggest single, and another win here would solidify him as the standout early favorite for the 2021 Kentucky Derby (G1). This is not an easy field, but if he can repeat his previous efforts, then he’s simply the best horse.

2. Golden Pal – Juvenile Turf Sprint

This division looks suspect on paper, which makes picking Golden Pal a logical choice. He seems to have the most talent, which he put on full display in the Skidmore Stakes at Saratoga. It also sounds like this has been trainer Wesley Ward’s favorite 2-year-old, which is a major key, and his class overmatches the rest of this field.

3. Tarnawa – Turf

This is an aggressive single, but it could also separate you from the rest of the bettors. The American turf division hasn’t been all that strong this season, which makes the European shippers very important. Now that we have a clear idea of who is coming over, Tarnawa seems like a standout. Her races have been brilliant all season.
