Saturday’s lineup at Fair Grounds Race Course features 13 races, seven of which are stakes, including two runnings of the $400,000 Risen Star Stakes (G2); the $300,000 Rachel Alexandra Stakes (G2); the $200,000 Mineshaft Stakes (G3); the $150,000 Fair Grounds Stakes (G3); the $100,000 Albert M. Stall Memorial Stakes; and the $100,000 Colonel Power Stakes.

Each division of the Risen Star Stakes will carry the original $400,000 purse and award full “Championship Series” Kentucky Derby (G1) qualifying points (50-20-10-5). For the first time in its history, the Risen Star will be contested over 1 1/8th miles.
