Here we go:1. Kelby/Evil Steveil (6/5) Fierceness – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) winner rebounded from his Holy Bull Stakes (G3) flop to absolutely crush the Florida Derby (G1). Catching Freedom – He picked up a huge win for this team in the Louisiana Derby (G2). Hall of Fame – He did very little running in the Louisiana Derby (G2). Snead – This horse was a solid second in the Gun Runner Stakes at Fair Grounds but has trouble staying on the work tab. Just Steel – He rebounded from a poor effort in the Rebel Stakes (G2) to finish second in the Arkansas Derby (G1). 2. Actual Double Ds (Paul “Free Bears” Withrow) (7/2) Knightsbridge – This solid debut winner was equally impressive against Gulfstream Park allowance horses. Stakes company should be next. Track Phantom – He was a disappointing fourth in the Louisiana Derby (G2). Forever Young – He showed heart to narrowly win the Saudi Derby (G3), then repeated next out in the UAE Derby (G2). Endlessly – The newest member of the team destroyed the field in the Jeff Ruby Steaks (G3) and may try dirt for the first time in the Kentucky Derby. Otello – He was a total no-show in the Jeff Ruby Steaks (G3). 3. Geist (4/1) Muth – He won the Arkansas Derby (G1) impressively and is pointing to the Preakness Stakes (G1). Air of Defiance – This solid maiden winner has not worked since November 3. Stronghold – He picked up a massive win for this team in the Santa Anita Derby (G1). Dimatic – He was recently fourth in an allowance race at Oaklawn Park. Mystik Dan – The runaway winner of the Southwest Stakes (G3) was a decent third in the Arkansas Derby (G1). 4. Dan Waite and Michael Ossen (9/2) Sierra Leone – He picked up a huge win for this team in the Blue Grass Stakes (G1). Book’em Danno – He ran huge in the Saudi Derby (G3) to finish second behind Forever Young. Bergen – We’ll see him this weekend in the Bachelor Stakes at Oaklawn Park. Rocketeer – He failed to win a Keeneland allowance in his 3-year-old debut. Maymun – He missed his scheduled start in the Santa Anita Derby (G1). His status is now up in the air. 5. Vinny Blond (8/1)Domestic Product – He closed to narrowly win the Tampa Bay Derby (G3) despite slow early fractions. Dornoch – He was a major disappointment in the Blue Grass Stakes (G1). Just a Touch – He ran a solid second in the in the Blue Grass Stakes (G1). Scatify – He could not win an allowance at Keeneland when sprinting. Resilience – The newest member of the team romped in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2). 6. Jared Welch (12/1)Conquest Warrior – He was a complete disappointment in the Florida Derby (G1), finishing fourth. Coach Prime – We haven’t seen him since finishing third in December’s Los Alamitos Futurity (G2). Timberlake – The Rebel Stakes (G2) winner was fourth in the Arkansas Derby (G1) and is now skipping the Kentucky Derby. Imagination – He was right there with a chance but couldn’t win the Santa Anita Derby (G1). Mindframe – The newest member of the team dazzled with a 103 Beyer on debut. 7. The Magic Mike Show (30/1) Parchment Party – He’s out until God knows when with a minor issue. Honor Marie – He rebounded to run a solid second in the Louisiana Derby (G2). Encino – He looked sharp winning the Lexington Stakes (G3). Tuscan Gold – He’s heading to the Preakness Stakes (G1) after a third-place effort in the Louisiana Derby (G2). First World War – He did very little running in a recent turf race at Keeneland. 8. Double Ds (Doc Tang and Doc Miranda) (50/1) Nysos – The Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3) winner scratched out of the San Felipe Stakes (G2) and will likely miss the Triple Crown trail. The Wine Steward – He was a nice second in the Lexington Stakes (G3). Carbone – He was recently second in the Hot Springs Stakes. Moonlight – He moved back to turf and still lost. Amante Bianco – He could do no better than second in a recent race in Japan. 9. Shotty and Davey (50/1) Common Defense – The newest member of the team couldn’t hit the board in the Louisiana Derby (G2) and is now skipping the Kentucky Derby. Liberal Arts – He did little running in all three of his 2024 starts. Otto the Conqueror – He sucks. Deterministic – He did nothing in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) and is now skipping the Kentucky Derby. Real Men Violin – He also sucks. 10. Jon White and Ryan Stillman (50/1) Nash – He WON a race! Taking the Hot Springs Stakes gave this team an all-important 5 points. Tuscan Sky – He did little running in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2). Hades – He did very little running in the Lexington Stakes (G3). Victory Avenue – He’s off the trail after struggling to stay healthy. Born Noble – No works since March 1 means this horse probably has some issues. 11. Aaron Halterman (69/1) Speak Easy – LOL… at least he’s back on the work tab? Merit – LOL… Antiquarian – He broke through the gate in the Louisiana Derby (G2) before running sixth. And yet he’s still easily the best horse on this team. Wynstock – LOL… at least he participated in the Santa Anita Derby (G1)? Who Dey – He did ok to run second… in the Lafayette Stakes.
