Just missed on the Late Pick 4 and 5 over at Belmont yesterday! Seeing the ball well, just need to connect with one of these! We’ve got a monster day today with a ton of Win and You Are In races from both Belmont and Santa Anita. I’m going to have full Grid + Tickets up for both with pressed tickets all over the place at Santa Anita. I’ve got my Late Pick 4 from Santa Anita with my three Pick 4 tickets listed pressing my opinions.

Race 8 – Santa Anita Sprint Championship

You’ll notice a trend with these plays, respect the speed. #2 Vertical Threat is just that here in the sprint. Rarely will you find lone speed in a 6 horse Grade 2 sprint, but that is exactly what we get here. #1 Dr. Schivel is the other I’ll play in this spot. He’s got the chance to take a step forward off a layoff and has the most tactical speed of the other contenders.

Race 9 – The Rodeo Drive

We’ve got more lone speed here in the #4 Going to Vegas, who’s early TimeForm pace rating is 92. The next highest in the field? 67. I’ll add #5 Rideforthecause at a price who I think will rate directly behind the speed and #8 Luck who will be against the pace, but has the upside to win here.

Race 10 – The Awesome Again

Look, #5 Medina Spirit is going to be loose up front. There is other speed in here, but they just are not as fast. On the $0.50 play, I’ll add the other Baffert, #6 Azul Coast who was touted early in his career and has seemed to turn a corner since coming back as a four year old.

Race 11 – The John Henry Turf Championship

Let’s see if #3 Neptune’s Storm can make it four wire to wire winners in four races. #4 United has the most class and loves Santa Anita. The horse that may have the best set up is #1 Award Winner so let’s include him. We will close out the ticket with #7 Master Piece and #12 Friar’s Road.
