Sunset Ridge Still Unbeaten After Winning $200,000 Fleet Indian

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Alpha Delta Stables’ homebred Sunset Ridge overcame a poor start to remain unbeaten after winning Friday’s $200,000 Fleet Indian Stakes for 3-year-old New York-bred fillies.

Stumbling when the gates opened and getting away last in the field of five, Sunset Ridge quickly recovered under jockey Jose Ortiz and settled into second while Somekindasexy set early splits of :24.19 and :48.22 before relinquishing the lead.

Bonita Bianca took second, 6 1/4 lengths behind the winner, with the rest of the field strung out farther back. The Chad Summers-trained Somekindasexy held on for third, 15 1/2 lengths behind Bonita Bianca, with Danielle’s Pride and Five Each Way completing the order of finish.
