Princess Secret, Freak, the debuting Alluramore, Sophisticurl, Lyrical, Tamiami, and Social Exclusion completed the order of finish. Frankly My Dear and Oh Deborah were scratched. Under Emisael Jaramillo as he broke from post 2, Breeze On By set opening fractions of :22.37 and :45.68 while Gatsby hounded him in the far turn. The two distanced themselves from the pack and knocked heads in the stretch, but Gatsby drifted out midway home, letting Breeze On By pull ahead late to win by 1 length in a final time of 1:10.85 for the 6-furlong sloppy sprint. Boca Boy, Famous Gent, Little Demon, Son of a Beast, Mr Tingles, Valiant Thor, and Casalsa completed the order of finish. Lost Lover, Paladio, and Social Equality were scratched.
