( Content Continues Below Ad ) The Khozan juvenile filly trailed early but was able to make a strong stretch move to pass the pacesetting even-money favorite Princess Secret and win by 1 1/4 lengths. With Leonel Reyes aboard, the Michael Yates trainee completed the sloppy 6-furlong sprint in a final time of 1:11.47. Princess Secret, Freak, the debuting Alluramore, Sophisticurl, Lyrical, Tamiami, and Social Exclusion completed the order of finish. Frankly My Dear and Oh Deborah were scratched. Princess Secret brought back $2.80 to place and $2.20 to show, while Freak paid $2.80 to show. Breeze On By (Credit: Coglianese Photos / Ryan Thompson) One race later, another Stonehedge found success when the 3/5 favorite Breeze On By held sway over a tough Gatsby to win the $100,000 FTBOA Florida Sire Dr. Fager Stakes (the male counterpart to the earlier event). Under Emisael Jaramillo as he broke from post 2, Breeze On By set opening fractions of :22.37 and :45.68 while Gatsby hounded him in the far turn. The two distanced themselves from the pack and knocked heads in the stretch, but Gatsby drifted out midway home, letting Breeze On By pull ahead late to win by 1 length in a final time of 1:10.85 for the 6-furlong sloppy sprint. Boca Boy, Famous Gent, Little Demon, Son of a Beast, Mr Tingles, Valiant Thor, and Casalsa completed the order of finish. Lost Lover, Paladio, and Social Equality were scratched. Breeze On By’s win followed a maiden-breaking debut effort here on July 12. The Cajun Breeze gelding has now earned $103,000. Breeze On By returned $3.40 to win, $2.60 to place, and $2.40 to show. Gatsby brought back $6 to place and $4.80 to show, while Boca Boy paid $5.40 to show.
