Previewing the SEC and Big Ten Conference Tournaments

SEC Tournament Predictions: March 9-13

All games are played in Tampa, FL:

The championship game will be played on Selection Sunday at 1 p.m. ET and will be shown on ESPN.

Favorites: Auburn 27-4, Kentucky 25-6, Arkansas 24-7

Darkhorse: Tennessee 23-7, Alabama 19-12, LSU 21-10

Bubble Teams: Texas A&M 20-11, Florida 19-12- Because the league is so strong these two teams have a chance to make the NCAA Tournament if they could somehow get to the finals. Not likely; but possible.

Predictions: This is going to be another great tournament and there are going to be some upsets in the lower rounds. I could definitely make a case for Vanderbilt to knock off Alabama and if LSU gets to the quarters they could give Arkansas a run for their money. The games are played in Tampa which is about a neutral site as there could be. I’m not high on Auburn and I’m leaning towards Arkansas or the Kentucky-Tennessee winner. This is must-see TV. Big Ten Tournament Predictions: March 9-13

All games are played in Indianapolis:

Favorites: Purdue 25-6, Wisconsin 24-6

Darkhorse: Illinois 22-8, Iowa 22-9

Bubble Teams: Rutgers 18-12, Michigan 17-13- Rutgers has some impressive wins and they need a win over Iowa in the quarters to feel secure. Michigan has to beat Indiana and then beat Illinois in the quarters in my opinion.

Predictions: I will openly admit; don’t follow any advice I give you on who is going to win this tournament. I have been wrong about the Big Ten all year and about every team has cost me money. There are several teams that can legitimately make a run and win this thing. Personally, I think Purdue is the best team, but they are going to have to string together 3 good performances to get there. The same can be said for everyone else as well. In looking at the bracket, Illinois might have the easiest path to the Finals. My best advice; just watch this one and enjoy it. Your bankroll will be glad you did..PAPA DUDES PICK: Purdue
