Free NCAA College Basketball Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 3/9/22

Even though the big boys weren’t playing last night, there was some great mid-major tournament action. I thoroughly enjoyed the battle of the Dakotas, as South Dakota State held on against a very good North Dakota State team, and won the Summit Conference championship. It was the 30th win for the Jackrabbits, and just think how absurd it is, that they had to win 30 games to get into the Big Dance. It would have been criminal if they hadn’t made it. The Wright State and Delaware games went down to the wire as well, and St.Mary’s gave Gonzaga all they wanted in a game that was much closer than the final score.

Clemson came through (barely) and beat NC State 70-64 and we cashed our Best Bet. That raised our Best Bet of the Day record to 48-31 since January 1st.

We bet on 9 games and went a mediocre 5-4 betting the MoneyLine. We were on the wrong side of some very close tournament games and that is going to happen in the next few weeks. Our overall record now stands at 640-138 (82%) for 2022.

There was only 1 game involving Top-25 teams. We picked Gonzaga to win, but went with St.Mary’s to beat the spread, which for 99% of the game it looked like they would. Two made free throws for the Zags in the closing seconds beat a ton of us. Our record betting the spread on games involving Top-25 teams is now 104-79.

Today and tonight there are a lot of games to choose from as almost all of the remaining tournaments are in action. However, there aren’t any games involving Top-25 teams. But, I guarantee if you like basketball, there is some exciting action to watch. Let’s see what we can bet on Hump Day Wednesday.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Prairie View 8-18 vs. Alcorn State 15-15 (-1): I’m very surprised at this line and this might be a sucker bet. Alcorn won the SWAC and their record is really misleading. They played their first 16 games on the road, and didn’t have a home game until Jan.15th. The fact they are 15-15 speaks volumes to me. I can’t pass this bet up, and if I miss it, I won’t feel the least bit bad about it. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Alcorn St. -1
