Previewing the Pac-12 and Big East Conference Tournaments

Big East Tournament Predictions: March 9-12

All games are played in New York City:

Favorites: Villanova 23-7, Providence 24-4

Darkhorse: UConn 22-8, Seton Hall 20-9

Team on the Bubble: Xavier 18-12- It would stand the to reason that the Musketeers will have to get to at least the semifinals to have any chance at making the Big Dance.

Predictions: There are seven teams that could make a run at winning this tournament. The league is so balanced and every game will be a nail-biter. The best team is probably Villanova, but you can’t discount Providence, the regular season winner. There are just too many potential matchups to even begin to mention them. If you like college basketball, this tournament is must-see TV. Villanova has St.John’s, Seton Hall, and UConn on their side of the bracket, while Providence will have to deal with Xavier, Creighton, and Marquette. This is strictly a guess. Pac-12 Tournament Predictions: March 9-12

Favorites: Arizona 28-3, UCLA 23-6, USC 25-6

Darkhorse: Colorado 20-10

Predictions: It’s hard to believe that anyone not named Arizona, UCLA, or USC will win this tournament. Arizona won the regular season title by three games over UCLA and four games over USC. They are the clear-cut favorites and are fighting for the overall #1 seed in the NCAA tournament next week. If they are on their game, they should win and UCLA and USC will play against each other in the semifinals. I think you have to go with the Wildcats. PAPA DUDES PICK: Arizona
