This division has one potential good team, (Tennessee), one pretty good team, (Indianapolis), and two teams that are building for the future, (Jacksonville and Houston). Tennessee is built around the powerful running of Derrick Henry, the leadership of Ryan Tannehill, and solid coaching. Indy will be starting a different quarterback for the 4th year in a row and they could drop a notch but still make the playoffs. Jacksonville made a splash in the offseason by hiring super-successful college coach Urban Meyer who will create some excitement. And then there are the Texans who have no idea what is going to happen with their quarterback who has tons of legal issues.

On paper(and everywhere else) this is Tennessee’s division to win and if they don’t it will be a major disappointment. They have the best quarterback situation and the best overall player in Derrick Henry. Every other team has a lot more issues than they do. The Colts are breaking in a new quarterback who at least has some experience, whereas the Jags have a rookie in Trevor Lawrence. Then there are the Texans who have a dynamic weapon in DeShaun Watson but he has demanded a trade and was named in 22 civil lawsuits for inappropriate conduct and sexual assault so who knows what that situation will be.
