NFC Playoff Projections As Of 1/4/22

GREEN BAY 13-3: The Packers will be the No.1 seed in the NFC and have the home field and a first round bye. They have had a tremendous season and can now focus on getting healthy for the playoffs.

LA RAMS 12-4: Huge comeback win over the Ravens keeps the Rams in the division lead and at No.2 in the NFC. Tough game coming up at home against San Francisco this week and remember they don’t have the NFC West locked up yet.

TAMPA BAY 12-4: The Buccaneers have a home game left with Carolina and they should win that one. The best they can hope for is the No.2 seed in the NFC.

DALLAS 11-5:The Cowboys lost at home to the Cardinals and fell from the No.2 seed all the way to 4th and that is likely where they will stay. There is no guarantee they are winning this week against the Eagles and they are going to have a first round game against the Rams or Arizona.

NFC WILD CARD CONTENDERS:

ARIZONA 11-5: Winning at Dallas on Sunday, was huge for them. They have a chance at winning the NFC West and if they do, they could jump to the No.3 seed in the playoffs, get a game at home, and avoid Dallas in the first round. They have to beat Seattle in Arizona, and hope the 49ers can beat the Rams. They can do no worse than being in the No.5 spot.

SAN FRANCISCO 9-7: The Niners are currently in the 6th spot in the NFC playoffs, but still are in jeopardy of being left out. They have to beat the Rams in Los Angeles to safely get in. If they lose, their playoff hopes will depend on what New Orleans does against Carolina.

PHILADELPHIA 9-7: The Eagles beat Washington, and because of tiebreaker rules, they clinched a playoff spot. The best they can hope for is moving up to No.6, so their game this week with Dallas doesn’t mean much. More than likely, their first round game will be against Tampa Bay, Arizona, or the Rams. Not much to choose from there.

NEW ORLEANS 8-8: The Saints took care of the Panthers and still have a good chance to make the final seven. If they beat Atlanta ,and the 49ers lose in Los Angeles, they are in. That is a legitimate possibility.
