Free Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/13/22

The Miami Heat became the first team to advance to the Conference Finals with their 99-90 victory over the 76ers. They continue to be the most physical and best defensive team in the playoffs. Meanwhile in the West, we had another unexplainable blowout as Dallas drilled the Suns 113-86 to force a Game 7 in Phoenix on Sunday. It was no surprise that Dallas won, but the margin of victory is strange. Milwaukee and Golden State will try and punch their ticket to the Conference Finals tonight.

We cashed our Best Bet last night as we took the Heat to win in Philly. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 96-48 in 2022.

We went 1-1 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record stands at 479-233 since Jan.1st.

These two games are tough tonight and let’s see if we can get lucky as we analyze Game 6 between Memphis and Golden State.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Memphis at Golden State (-8.5): Golden State leads the series 3-2: Before we get into tonight’s game we have to decide what to make of the Warriors blowout loss in Memphis on Wednesday. In a game where Golden State could have eliminated the Grizzlies, they trailed by as many as 55 points, before losing 134-95. What happened to a veteran, playoff-experienced team and why weren’t they ready to play? Do we just forget what we saw, and throw it out the window as one of those strange things that happen, and assume the Warriors will bounce back tonight? Or are the Grizzlies a better team without Ja Marant, and will they build on that win and have the momentum to go into San Francisco, and force a Game 7 Monday in Memphis? These are all legitimate questions that we have to decipher when picking this game. Obviously, no one on the Golden State team played well in Game 5. They just didn’t have any intensity and looked like an old, tired basketball team. They were completely embarrassed and they will play better tonight; we can depend on that. The Warriors are a team that feeds off it’s offense to give them energy on the defensive end. So, they need to get off to a good shooting start and go from there. Meanwhile, the other mystery is Memphis and how well they have played without Marant. His absence has caused the remaining players to pick up the slack and they are getting a total team effort. Seven players scored in double figures led by Desmond Bane, Tyus Jones, and Jaren Jackson who all scored 21 points. Steven Adams has been a force in the middle with his defense and rebounding and that has been a factor as well. I think this spread is a bit inflated, and while I’m not confident enough to pick Memphis straight up to win, it wouldn’t surprise me if they do. I’m taking Golden State to win but I don’t think they cover. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Memphis +8.5
