Free Pick: Oregon (9-1) at Utah (7-3) 11/20/21

This is a huge game with substantial playoff implications for the Oregon Ducks. Both teams are probably going to win their respective divisions in the Pac-12 conference, and will have a rematch in two weeks to decide the Pac-12 championship. Utah is hard to beat at night in Salt Lake City and Oregon cannot afford a loss, which adds extra pressure on them. Let’s see how Vegas is looking at this game.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Oregon: 27.5 Total Team Points They haven’t been as good on offense as other Oregon teams of the past. However, they are still putting up 35 points per game and 441 yards of offense. They are balanced between the run and the pass, and their ability to run the ball, is always a plus when playing a big game in a hostile environment. Utah is not as good defensively as some of their other teams and they are giving up 24 points per game. However, at home, their worst defensive performance was 24 points scored by UCLA. I like Oregon UNDER 27.5 total team points.

Utah: 30.5 Total Team Points Maybe I look at past seasons too much, but I think that line is a little too high. I know this isn’t a typical Utah offense and they are averaging 36 points per game and 439 total yards of offense. I just don’t think they win if they have to score in the 30’s. I’ll take Utah UNDER 30.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER: 59 Combined Team Points This analysis will be short because I took the under on both teams point totals. I like UNDER 59 combined team points.

POINT SPREAD: Utah is a 3-point favorite Oregon is the No.3 team according to the playoff committee and are a 3-point underdog to a 3-loss Utah team. So, Vegas agrees with most of us in regards to the Ducks’ high ranking.
