Free Pick: Oklahoma (9-0) at Baylor (7-2) 11/13/21

This is the first of three must wins for the Sooners to end the regular season. They have been outstanding in November in recent years, and they have to win this week against a very good Baylor team in Waco. The Bears lost a toughie last week against TCU that curtailed some of the momentum they had been building. This promises to be a good one. Let’s find something to bet.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Oklahoma: 34.5 Total Team Points I think that Oklahoma will have to score over this team total if they are going to win. They are averaging 477 total yards per outing and are throwing for 295 passing yards on average. Their offense has been playing at a high level and that needs to continue. I like Oklahoma OVER 34.5 team points.

Baylor: 27.5 Total Team Points It is the same scenario for Baylor. If they are going to win, they have to score in the 30’s. They have been very balanced on offense and (as usual) have excellent skill players. Running back, Abram Smith is rushing for 117 yards per game, and is a threat to break a long run every time he touches it. Wide receiver, Tyquan Thornton is a deep threat and has caught 42 passes for 722 yards and seven touchdowns. Quarterback, Gerry Bohanon has completed 65% of his passes and is a threat to run also. I like Baylor OVER 27.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER: 63 Combined Team Points Both of these teams are capable of putting up points. Oklahoma is averaging 43 points per game and have scored over 50 points in three of their last four games. Baylor is no slouch and are scoring 36 a game. Neither defense is great and at times Oklahoma has been bad. I like OVER 63 points for these two teams.

POINT SPREAD: Oklahoma is a 5.5-point favorite This will be the best team Oklahoma has played. Baylor is undefeated at home and have knocked off opponents West Virginia, Iowa State, BYU, and Texas. They have a raucous home crowd and Oklahoma got a break with the 11a.m. kickoff. The Sooners have more talent, but that doesn’t always equate to a win.

AARON’S PICK: Baylor OVER 27.5 total team points

PAPA DUDES PICK: OVER 63 combined team points
