Week 10 saw two more undefeated teams (Michigan State and Wake Forest) bite the dust and playoff projections continue to develop as we head down the home stretch of the 2021 season. We went a 32-12 last week and felt ok about it. We are now 270-91 (75%) after ten weeks into the season. We missed the Lock of the Week dropping our record to 7-3 for the year. In addition,both upset specials were a disaster as Texas A&M easily defeated Auburn 20-3 and San Diego State held on to beat Hawaii 17-10. This lowered our record to 9-5 in that category. Here are our win predictions in week 11 for the Top-25 and other interesting matchups. Keep in mind, these are straight up wins not involving the point spreads.
No.1 Georgia 45 Tennessee 17 No problem as Tennessee is not as good on offense as everyone thinks.
No.2 Alabama 55 New Mexico State 7 The Crimson Tide might as well have an off week.
No.3 Cincinnati 34 South Florida 20 They struggle again but remain unbeaten.
No.4 Ohio State 31 Purdue 17 The Boilermakers fail to add the Buckeyes to their upset list.
No.5 Oklahoma 38 No.18 Baylor 34 The Sooners avoid an upset and stay undefeated, barely.
No.6 Michigan 24 No.23 Penn State 20. The Wolverines stay in the hunt for the Big-10 title.
No.7 Notre Dame 38 Virginia 31 The Cavaliers throw a major scare into the Irish but they prevail in the end.
No.8 Oregon 34 Washington State 21 The Ducks make it to 9-1.
No.9 Texas A&M 31 No.12 Mississippi 28 This is a great game between two really good SEC teams.
No.10 Oklahoma State 28 TCU 17 They are staying under the radar and are quietly rising in the polls.
No.11 Michigan State 34 Maryland 21 The Spartans get back into the win column and move on in the Big-10 title chase.
No.13 Houston 41 Temple 17 The Cougars need to focus and avoid a letdown on the road.
No.15 Wake Forest 42 No.22 NC State 40 Big bounce back win for the Demon’ Deacons.
No.16 Auburn 27 Mississippi State 25 This one has upset written all over it, but Auburn somehow survives.
No.17 Iowa 20 Minnesota 17 Another classic slugfest and the Hawkeyes pull it out on a late turnover. Mustangs.
No.19 UTSA 48 Southern Mississippi 14 The Roadrunners keep winning and get to 10-0 on the season.
No.20 Wisconsin 28 Northwestern 14 They are probably the best team in the West and are peaking at the right time.
No.21 San Diego State 24 Nevada 21 The Aztecs take another step towards a Mountain West championship.
No.24 Louisiana 28 Troy 24 The Ragin’ Cajuns have to score late in order to avoid an upset to the Trojans.
No.25 Pittsburgh 45 North Carolina 42 Another shootout and the Panthers escape with a win.
