Free Pick: Kansas City (5-4) at Las Vegas (5-3) 11/14/21

This is a huge game in the AFC West and the winner emerges as a front runner for the division title. The loser will not be eliminated, but they will be reeling, especially if the Chargers can beat Minnesota. The Chiefs are coming off a win over the Packers without Aaron Rodgers and were hardly impressive. And, the Raiders lost against the Giants, in a game they really had to have. This should should be a donnybrook.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Kansas City: 27.5 Total Team Points The Chiefs‘ offense is one of the biggest mysteries of the season. They have been relatively healthy and have only scored 36 total points in the last three games. That is an unbelievable statistic for a team with Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce on the field. The Raiders’ defense is giving up 24 points and 341 total yards per game, so they aren’t great. Is this the week the Chiefs bounce out of it and score some points? I’ll take Kansas City UNDER 27.5 team points.

Las Vegas: 24.5 Total Team Points The Raiders are averaging 25 points and that is the number they need to reach. They have eclipsed 25 points in five of their 8 games. Their problem has been in the running game as they are averaging only 89 rushing yards per game. Teams that have had success against the Chiefs have ran the ball effectively. Lost in all of Kansas City’s problems, has been the steady improvement of their defense. They have given up only 64 points in their last 4 games and that is good enough, if the Chiefs could get their offense going. I like Las Vegas UNDER 24.5 points.

OVER/UNDER 51.5 Total Combined Team Points Since I took the under for both teams total points, I’ll stay consistent and go UNDER 51.5 points.

POINT SPREAD: KANSAS CITY is a 2.5 point favorite. This line is based on the Chiefs’ reputation from the past two years, and the Raiders’ futility in the past several seasons. The Chiefs aren’t playing good enough to be the favorite in this game, but most of us feel it is pretty dangerous to bet against them, especially against a shaky Las Vegas team.
