Free Pick: Cleveland (5-4) at New England (5-4) 11/14/21

Has anyone had more question marks going into games this year, than the Cleveland Browns? They have had a bunch of injuries and now they are dealing with COVID problems. Star running back, Nick Chubb, is the biggest name that is on the list. He is vaccinated so if he has two negative tests 24 hours apart, he could play on Sunday. Losing him is a terrible blow for the Browns as he is a main cog in their offense. So, it is hard to analyze this game at this point. We are going to assume he IS NOT going to play.

TOTAL TEAM TOTALS:

Cleveland: 20.5 Total Team Points Without Chubb, the offense takes on a whole new dimension. D’Ernest Johnson will take over the running back duties and he played well subbing for Chubb when he was out with an injury. If he can carry the load, the Browns might survive in this game. This seems like a very low point total to reach but the Browns are unpredictable and are wildly inconsistent on offense. I will take the UNDER on Cleveland scoring 20.5 points.

New England: 23.5 Total Team Points: The Patriots are scoring 26 points per game and they are improving each week behind , their rookie quarterback. He is completing 68% of his passes and is throwing for 244 yards per game. The Cleveland defense is pretty good and they can shut down teams at times. I wouldn’t touch this line.

OVER/UNDER 45 Combined Team Point Totals: Most people think this line is about right. The Patriots offense is pretty consistent and they are probably going to score in the 20-24 point range. Can Cleveland match that? I would take the UNDER.

POINT SPREAD: New England is a 1.5-point favorite Again, this is an easy line to bet. Take New England if you think they are going to win and Cleveland if you like them. Not much to talk about on this one.
