Free NHL Western Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/27/22

Last night in Calgary, the Edmonton Oilers proved they are fast becoming an elite team with a come-from-behind 5-4 win in overtime. The victory over a very good Calgary team, propelled them into the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2006. This is a dangerous team that is hitting on all cylinders offensively. Will their goaltending hold up in the Finals. Tonight, in St.Louis, the Blues will try to escape elimination for the 2nd game in a row and set up a Game 7 in Colorado on Sunday. Can they build on the momentum gained from their stunning comeback win in Game 5, after being on the edge of having their season over?

Our Best Bet came through as the Hurricanes remained undefeated on home ice throughout the playoffs with a 3-1 win over the Rangers. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 61-43 since the All-Star Break.

We went 1-1 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record is now 379-214 as the playoffs continue.

Let’s take a closer look at the Colorado-St.Louis matchup and see what Vegas is thinking about Game 6 in St.Louis.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Colorado at St.Louis: Colorado leads the series 3-2: Anyone who has watched this series and is honest, knows Colorado has dominated a huge part of the play. In Game 5, they were on cruise control with a 3-0 lead late in the 2nd period, and somehow found a way to lose 5-4 in overtime. The Blues showed a ton of heart and a lot of skill in pulling out that game on the road. That should give them the impetus to play their best game tonight. Ville Husso played extremely well in goal and Vladimir Tarasenko played his best game of the series. More importantly, Robert Thomas, who was so good in the regular season, scored 2 goals and showed signs that he was ready to play like he showed all year long. All of these things are huge positives for the Blues, but they still have to deal with a Colorado team that is more than capable of winning. The Avalanche have got to be kicking themselves for letting Game 5 slip away, and have had 48 hours to get over the disappointment of not winning at home. They wasted an unbelievable performance from Nathan MacKinnon who had a hat trick in a losing effort. Goaltender, Darcy Kuemper has been solid, but not great, and while he isn’t the reason they lost Wednesday, he hasn’t been able to make that big save when they needed it. I look for Colorado to bounce back and play well tonight and play a tight checking, defensive game. St.Louis should have confidence and momentum and they are due to win a game at home in this series. Colorado is a safe bet to win, but the value is on the Blues. They aren’t getting much respect from Vegas, so my money is going to the underdog.
