Free NHL Western Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/26/22

Last night in Denver, the St.Louis Blues pulled a rabbit out of their hat and capped off a furious comeback, with an improbable 5-4 overtime win, to send the series back home for Game 6 tomorrow night. The Avalanche were 56 seconds away from reaching the Conference Finals for the first time since 2002. It remains to be seen how they deal with that tough loss. Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames are on the brink of elimination as well, as they return to the Saddledome with a ton of work to do. Edmonton is going to be ready to knock out their rivals and end this thing tonight.

Our Best Bet was looking good throughout the first 2 periods as Colorado was dominating the Blues. Then came the big rally and St.Louis made their comeback and even though I was wrong, I didn’t care one damn bit. LET’S GO BLUES!! Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 60-43 since the All-Star Break.

We went 0-1 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record is now 378-213 as the playoffs continue.

Let’s take a look at the Edmonton-Calgary game and see if we what Vegas is thinking about Game 5 in Calgary.

Edmonton at Calgary: Edmonton leads the series 3-1: The Calgary Flames left Edmonton Tuesday night with their tails tucked between their legs, after losing both games in the northwoods. They made a great rally in Game 4, coming from 3 goals down to tie the game, only to see the Oilers regroup and come away with a 5-3 win. They actually played pretty well, outshooting Edmonton 32-26, winning the playoff battle, and scoring a power-play goal, but still came away with a loss. Goaltender, Jacob Markstrom has been shaky at times in this series, and he will need a big effort tonight. Edmonton has been able to solve the vaunted Calgary defense and they have scored more goals in 4 games than Calgary allowed in 7 games in the first round. The OIlers’ star players have been outstanding and that is why they are on the verge of advancing to the Conference Finals. Evander Kane has scored 12 goals and has been unstoppable. Connor McDavid has been the ultimate playmaker with 25 points and Leon Draisaitl has chipped in 22 more. So, they are going to be hard to beat with offense like that. I expect the Flames to come out firing tonight and I think they are good enough to win three games in a row, and still win the series. But they are going to have to make significant changes to do that. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on Calgary -150
