Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 2/20/22

Since the NBA is off for a few days for the All-Star Break, we are taking a shot at betting hockey and giving our free picks. Let’s look at the schedule.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Carolina at Pittsburgh: This is the best game of the team featuring two of the best teams in the league. I’m taking a chance on the visitors because they are the underdog and there is some value. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on Carolina +105

Montreal at New York Islanders: Not much to talk about here. Two teams going nowhere. PAPA DUDES PICK: Islanders

Florida at Chicago: The Panthers might be the best team in the league and the Black Hawks aren’t. But it is hockey, so there is always a chance that the better team doesn’t show up ready to play and an upset occurs. PAPA DUDES PICK: Florida

New York Rangers at Ottawa: The Rangers are having a solid season and have 31 wins for the season. Ottawa occasionally steps up and plays well against superior opponents. There is some value if you play the Rangers in a parlay, otherwise not much to bet here unless you take Ottawa and they come through. PAPA DUDES PICK: Rangers

Buffalo at Columbus: This is another game involving two teams who have very little chance at making the playoffs. There is value in playing Buffalo and an upset which they are fully capable of pulling off. Otherwise, I wouldn’t risk anything on playing Columbus unless you include them in a parlay PAPA DUDES PICK: Columbus

Dallas at Arizona: The Stars should win this if they are mentally ready to play. Arizona has their moments, but not many. PAPA DUDES PICK: Dallas

Minnesota at Edmonton: This is a very good matchup between two teams that are really good. The Wild have lost their last two games and have given up 6 goals in each game. That is very uncharacteristic of them. They will be looking to shore up the back line and stop that trend from continuing. Meanwhile, the Oilers have won 5 straight games since making a coaching change and have a lot of momentum going forward. A case can be made for either team and I consider it a toss-up. Vegas at San Jose: This game features two teams trending downward. The Golden Knights have lost their last three and they were shut out in 2 of those games. They have lost the lead in the Pacific to Calgary. Meanwhile, the Sharks are even worse and have lost 5 in a row. They are currently 10 points out of a playoff spot, but they do have games at hand.
