Free NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/12/22

Last night was our first great night of picking the NHL in quite awhile. All three winning teams staged comebacks on their way to victory as these playoffs continue to be fantastic to watch, but very difficult to predict. Tonight is loaded with more of the same as we have four series and all are in Game 6. This will be close to impossible to get them all correct.

We cashed our Best Bet again as Florida came scored the last 5 goals of the game, completing a great comeback win over the Capitals. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 53-37 since the All-Star Break.

We went only 3-0 betting the MoneyLine as we had a perfect night for the first time in forever. Our overall record is now 359-203 as the playoffs continue.

The run for the Stanley Cup continues today with 4 more games on the schedule. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the two Eastern Conference games and see if we can make the right picks tonight.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Carolina at Boston: Carolina leads the series 3-2: This is a series that has seen the home team win every game. The Hurricanes will look to reverse than trend tonight. They are coming off a 5-1 win in Raleigh on Tuesday night to take the 3-2 lead in the series. Rookie, Seth Jarvis scored two goals and Antti Raanta had 34 saves to lead the way over the Bruins. Carolina was able to stay out of the penalty box and they have outscored Boston 12-6 when the two teams are 5-on-5. The games in Raleigh have been one-sided, but Boston has turned the tables on Carolina on their home ice. They are going to need another good effort from their guys to stave off elimination. This is a tough one to pick as the Bruins are a veteran team that won’t back down from the talented Hurricanes. I’m going to take a chance and go with the visitors in this one. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on the Hurricanes +105

Toronto at Tampa Bay: Toronto leads the series 3-2: The Maple Leafs showed a lot of poise on Tuesday night, after spotting the Lightning the first 2 goals. Trailing 2-1 going into the 3rd period, they scored two goals to take a 3-2 lead, only to see the Lightning tie it up at 3. Then with 6 minutes left, Auston Matthews broke the tie and Toronto held on to grab the lead in this evenly-matched series. That leaves Toronto in familiar territory as they are painfully close to finally get out of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. To achieve their goal tonight, they will have to knock off the 2-time defending champs on their home ice. Tampa Bay is not going to go down easy and they will need a great game from goalie, Andrei Vasilevskiy, which is nothing new to him. I really believe Toronto is the beat team, but the Lightning do not believe any of that. As usual, this is a coin flip game and today it turned up for Tampa Bay. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on the Lightning -135
