Yesterday saw the New York Rangers bounce back and with a 3-1 win over the Hurricanes. This was a must-win for them and they rode the play of their defense and goalie, Igor Shesterkin to the victory. But, the Panthers weren’t as fortunate as they lost their third straight to the Lightning by a misleading 5-1 score. These two teams are right back at it tonight and Tampa Bay is bringing out the brooms in anticipation of a sweep. they sorely need.

The Panthers have managed one goal in each of the first three games and that isn’t enough to win very many games. In the regular season, Florida averaged over 4 goals per game and only three times did they fail to score more than one goal. The Florida power play finally broke through with a goal yesterday, but that is their only one of the playoffs. So, they have to find a way to score against the vaunted Tampa Bay lineup and the best goalie in the business, Andrei Vasilevskiy, who has been outstanding. Tampa Bay knows how to win playoff games and close out teams and they are smelling blood like a bunch of hungry sharks. It is very hard to win a Game 4 when you are down 3-0 in a series, especially on the road. I give the Panthers a chance, but the smart money is on the Lightning.
