Now the scene shifts to Tampa and the Lightning will be desperate for a win. New York has parlayed a tight-checking defense, with opportunistic scoring, and great goaltending to frustrate the defending champs. Igor Shesterkin has stopped 63 of the 67 shots he has faced and has outplayed All-World goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy in the first two games. New York is getting goals from a number of players up and down the lineup and have kept Tampa Bay under control. The Lightning played well in Game 2 and had a chance to pull that game out late but Shesterkin was strong in goal and held them off. This is a do-or-die game for them this afternoon and I think we can expect a tremendous push from this veteran bunch. But, will it be enough against a Rangers team that is a lot better than they are being given credit for. The value bet would be to take the Rangers because Tampa Bay is favored by too large a margin.
