Free NCAA Basketball Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 2/9/22

College Basketball is heating up, as teams are making runs and jockeying to get into position for the NCAA tournament, heading into the last games of the regular season. Last night saw six Top-25 teams lose including #1 Auburn as the Razorbacks took them down in Fayetteville. And there is plenty of great action again tonight.

We got back in the winner’s circle last night as Syracuse covered against Boston College cashing our Best Bet. That raised our Best Bet of the Day record to 31-18 for 2022.

We went a respectable 11-3 betting the Money Line and our record is 324-73 (82%) in that category.

In the Dudes newest feature we went 5-2 betting the spread on games involving Top-25 teams and we are 19-10 in that category.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

#9 Texas Tech 18-5 (-3) at Oklahoma 13-10: The Sooners will play their ass off because they always do. But, they are short on talent and depend too much on excellent 3-point shooting to win games. They also are turnover-prone, which doesn’t bode well when you are playing excellent teams like Tech. The Red Raiders are playing extremely well and the Sooners have too many problems. I love the spread and I hope I am wrong but my beloved Sooners are going down I’m afraid.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Texas Tech-3

GAMES INVOLVING TOP-25 TEAMS:

#6 Houston 20-2 (-7) at SMU 16-5: This is a key game in the American Conference if anyone is going to make a run at Houston. The Cougars played at Cincinnati on Sunday and won by 22 over the Bearcats. They are clearly better than SMU and should win this one and cover. win but I like Marquette PAPA DUDES PICK: Houston -7

#10 Baylor 19-4 (-7) at Kansas State 12-10: This is a tricky one because the Bears are struggling to find their game and K-State is a hard out against everyone, especially in Manhattan. Baylor is definitely better than the Wildcats but I think this will be close. This is one I would stay away from but I’ll take the home team and the points.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Kansas State +7

#9 Texas Tech 18-5 (-3) at Oklahoma 13-10: The Sooners will play their ass off because they always do. But, they are short on talent and depend on excellent shooting to win games. They also have turnover problems and that will be a problem against a team like Texas Tech. Too many problems to go with my beloved problems against one of the hottest teams in the Big 12.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Texas Tech -3

#25 Xavier 16-6 at Seton Hall 14-7 (-3.5): If you bet this game you are asking for trouble. I could make a legitimate case for either team and convince myself that they would win. When in doubt, go with the home team.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Seton Hall -3.5

#16 Ohio State 14-5 (-3) at Rutgers 13-9: Rutgers comes into this one coming off a demolition of Michigan State in their last game. They are fully capable of beating the Buckeyes. I’m not convinced Ohio State is worthy of being ranked but I’ll stay with them.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Ohio State -3

#19 Tennessee 16-6 (-1) at Mississippi State 14-8: Are there any easy games tonight involving Top-25 teams? This is another tough one to call. The Volunteers had two good wins last week and are playing much better. Sometimes, you just have to bet the most talented team and forget about it.
