Free NBA Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/22/22

These conference finals’ games are becoming almost impossible to predict. After losing by 25 points at home on Thursday, the Miami Heat went to Boston and outscored the Celtics 39-18 in the 1st quarter and held on for a 109-103 win to take a 2-1 lead in their Best of 7 series. Tonight we turn our attention to the Western Conference in Dallas as the Warriors, fresh off of two wins in San Francisco, will try and go up 3-0 in their matchup with the Mavericks. We will see if Dallas can bounce back from the crushing loss they had in Game 2, after blowing a 19 point lead.

We missed our Best Bet last night as we had Boston to beat the Heat. to win. I must admit that series has me scratching my head. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 100-52 in 2022.

They blew a 19-point lead with a complete meltdown in the 3rd quarter offensively. After putting up 72 points in the first half, they could only manage 13 in stanza number three. Then, Golden State got to rolling with a brilliant offensive display, and the Mavericks had no answers. They shot 47% from the field, made 21 of 45 from the 3-point line, and received 42 points from Luka Doncic, 31 from Jalen Brunson, and 21 from Reggie Bullock, and it still wasn’t enough. So, they have to be frustrated to play that well, and lose a game that they seemingly had won. They can take comfort from the fact that they lost the first two games in Phoenix in the Conference Semifinals, and rallied back in Game 3 in Dallas. Meanwhile, Golden State continues to be a team that looks like they have the necessary pieces to win the NBA title. They had 6 players score in double figures and when they are hitting shots, they are almost unstoppable. In Game 2, with Draymond Green on the bench in foul trouble, Kevin Looney stepped in with 21 points and 12 rebounds to propel the Golden State comeback. These are the kinds of performances that boost a team to a championship. This should be a war tonight between these two teams. The Mavericks have proven they can bounce back and they have played very well at home in the playoffs. I look for Doncic to have a great game tonight and the supporting cast plays much better at home. I’m not giving up on Dallas yet. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Dallas -2.5
