Free NBA Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/5/22

After a rare night off for every team in the league we are back to a full schedule for tonight.

On Sunday, the Miami Heat came through as our Best Bet and beat Toronto 114-109. That improved our Best Bet of the Day record to 65-32 since Jan. 1st.

We also made a nice profit on our Upset Special as the Mavericks beat the Bucks on the road and were 5.5-pt. underdogs.

We were a nice 9-3 betting the MoneyLine, and our overall record now stands at 393-201 for 202

Papa Dudes Best Bets for the NBA Today

Atlanta 41-37 at Toronto 45-33 (-1.5): This is a game with huge playoff ramifications for the upcoming playoffs. The Hawks are playing well and are in 8th place, but mathematically could still finish 5th. On the down side, they could fall all the way to 10th. Meanwhile, Toronto is tied for 5th place and are trying to avoid dropping into a Play-In position. The stakes are high in this game in Canada. Atlanta is not a good road team, and this will be a tough place to pull out a win, even though they have won 5 in a row. The Raptors are the choice for me to cover this reasonable spread. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Toronto -1.5

*PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Memphis 55-23 at Utah 46-32 (-5.5): I’m surprised to see Memphis as the underdog and especially by 5.5-points. They are going to be tough to handle in the upcoming playoffs, and are far and away the superior team in this matchup with the Jazz. The worry I have will be the Grizzlies’ motivation. They are locked in as the #2 seed in the West for the upcoming playoffs, no matter what happens in the remaining four games. On the other hand, Utah is in a fight to stay out of having to participate in a potential Play-In game. They also could move up as high as 5th in the seeding. Thus, the game means a whole lot more to the Jazz. They might win, but I’m not sure they cover. PAPA DUDES UPSET PICK: Memphis +5.5
