NBA Free NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/8/22 May 8, 2022 Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports NBA Free NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/8/22 May 8, 2022 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article Yesterday we saw the Bucks and Golden State win their games and take 2-1 advantages in their respective series. And on this Mother’s Day, we will move on to a couple of very important Game 4’s. Both Philadelphia and Dallas will be looking to even up their 2nd round matchups. The games should be nail biters and without question will be hard to predict. We cashed our Best Bet (barely) yesterday, as the Bucks blew a big lead and held on for a 103-101 win over the fast closing Celtics. The spread was 1.5-pts. so we got lucky. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 92-47 in 2022. We went 2-0 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record stands at 472-230 since Jan.1st. Let’s look at the Miami-Philadelphia game today and see if we can close out what has been a great week of betting these crazy NBA games. *PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Miami at Philadelphia (-1.5): Miami leads the series 2-1: It sure makes a difference in a team when their best player is on the floor. The 76ers were a different animal after Joel Embiid returned to the lineup for Game 3. And even though, he clearly wasn’t himself, his size and presence brought the best out of everyone else. Danny Green and Tyrese Maxey both had 21 points and were a combined 12 for 15 from behind the arc. Embiid added 18 points and 11 rebounds and his size made a huge difference defensively around the basket. He should be better and stronger as the series moves along. Meanwhile, Miami will try and regroup after scoring only 79 points and shooting 35% from the field. Jimmy Butler scored 33 points but his teammates didn’t do much of anything else. The Heat only made seven 3-pointers and look for that to improve today. This is a solid Miami team with experience and toughness. They are going to bounce back today and play much better. The Sixers will get their best shot in this one. It is very tempting to take the Heat tonight, but I’m going to go with the Philly to even up the series. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Philadelphia -1.5 3-TEAM PARLAY: We are playing the 2 NBA games and a hockey game in this parlay. Leg 1: Miami at Philadelphia: Bet Philadelphia -1.5 Leg 2: Phoenix +2 at Dallas]: Bet Dallas +2 Leg 3: Carolina at Boston: Bet the MoneyLine on Carolina +110 Bet $10 for a Payout of $76.20
