Free NHL Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/7/22

We knew last night was going to be a difficult night of betting the NHL and we feel fortunate to have split the 4 games on the schedule. As the playoffs continue it is going to get harder and harder to get these damn games correct. After today all of the teams will have played three games in the first round and some of these series will be taking shape. This is shaping up as another hit and miss day, so I’m being careful.

We split our Best Bets last night as Edmonton went into LA and slapped the Kings around winning 8-2, but the Maple Leafs beat the Lightning 5-2 in Tampa. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 51-33 since the All-Star Break.

We went 2-2 betting the MoneyLine and that brings our overall record to 349-194 as the playoffs continue.

The run for the Stanley Cup continues today with 4 more games on the schedule. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the two Western Conference games and see if we can get lucky.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Colorado at Nashville: Colorado leads the series 2-0: In Game 2, the Avalanche faced a Nashville team determined to make up for the 7-2 embarrassment in Game 1. Their defense blocked 34 shots, but it was the incredible goaltending of back-up, Connor Ingram, that kept the game in reach and allowed the game to go into overtime. Ingram stopped 49 shots and literally stood on his head before Cale Makar scored the winner to send Colorado home happy. The series switches to Nashville today for Game 3 and Music City will be hopping. It is hard to believe that Ingram will play that well again but he is probably going to have too against the powerful Avalanche. I think the Predators will bring out everything they have and give Colorado a stern test before the Avs pull out another hard-fought win. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on Colorado -235

Calgary at Dallas: The series is tied at 1-1: This series is a hard one to get a handle on. It has been a defensive-minded close checking game between two great defensive teams. Expect more of the same tonight as we move to Dallas. Both Jacob Markstrom and Jake Oettinger have been solid in goal, and Oettinger tossed a shutout in Game 2, for Dallas stopping all 29 Calgary shots. The Flames are 0-7 on the power play and their top line has got to gain some momentum. It’s hard to win scoring only 1 goal in two games which is what Calgary has done. On the other hand, Dallas hasn’t been much better. In fact, they have generated even less offense than Calgary. I’m going with Calgary to break out of it with a win tonight, but I think the play is to take the under 5.5 goals. There have only been a total of three goals scored combined in the first two games. Logic says, this game will be low scoring as well. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet UNDER 5.5 goals.

3- TEAM PARLAY:

Going with 2 favorites and an upset in tonight’s parlay.
