Free MLB American League Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 6/7/22

Our first night betting baseball in the American League was a dud. There were 4 games on the schedule with the Texas-Cleveland game postponed. It will be made up today as the two teams will play a doubleheader weather permitting. There is a full slate of games today with several interdivisional matchups, so let’s see if we can do a little better on our second try.

We missed our Best Bet as the Houston Astros lost at home to Seattle 7-4. That leaves our overall record at 0-1 for the American League.

Betting the MoneyLIne was also miserable as we went 1-2, with Toronto as our only winner.

Chicago Cubs 23-32 at Baltimore Orioles 23-33: This is a game between two struggling teams. The Cubs have been a decent team on the road, but have been awful at home. Tonight they send out Keegan Thompson who has a 6-0 record with a 1.99 ERA. Most of his wins have come in relief and he will only be making his 5th start, but he has been effective starting and relieving. Baltimore has had pitching problems all year and tonight they will counter with Kyle Bradish who is 1-3 with a 6.82 ERA. In his 7 previous starts he has allowed 26 runs and 40 hits in only 33 innings. Seattle Mariners 25-30 at Houston Astros 35-20: The Astros host the Mariners tonight and they are clearly the better team. But, that didn’t matter last night as Seattle took the first game of the series with a 7-4 win. Seattle will start Chris Flexen tonight in Game 2 and he brings a 2-6 record with a 4.55 ERA into the game. Houston will counter with veteran Justin Verlander who has been outstanding with a 6-2 record and 2.23 ERA. This looks like a pitching mismatch between the two teams and the Astros should get back in the win column tonight. . PAPA DUDES BET: Bet the Astros -1.5
