Gulfstream Park March 4, 2022

Race 7: Maiden Special Weight

#8 My Romeo Lima was a solid third on debut over this track for Pletcher, and has a right to improve off of that effort today. #3 Tyson is a first time start for Pletcher, who will no doubt be ready to run in this spot. Jose Ortiz is aboard, which is a good sign.

Race 8: Allowance Optional Claiming

#6 Quick Tempo should be all alone on the lead here, while getting back to the dirt, which should help his chances. #1 Fortin Hill is back from a very long layoff today, running for new trainer Bill Mott, who usually has them ready to run off of layoffs.

Race 9: Starter Optional Claiming

#1 Cashier Check was a solid second in his debut race over the synthetic surface, losing by a nose after setting the pace. #5 Canelito was a 7-length winner last time out, and is spotted in a logical race for him to be competitive once again today.

Race 10: Maiden Claiming

#8 Blutos Candy runs first off of the claim for Breen in this spot, while also getting Paco up for the ride, which should help his chances. #9 Grand Sir gets back to the turf for this race, which shoudl help, while also getting Jose Ortiz in the saddle.
