Rocket Picks 🚀: Churchill Downs, Pimlico, and Belmont Park for May 21, 2022

It’s Preakness Stakes day and we’re ready to roll! We’ve been HOT lately, so there is no reason why we can’t keep that rolling this week. Race 6: Allowance

#11 Golden Voice looks to make it 2 in a row in this spot after winning at a similar level last time out at Keeneland. #4 Kate’s Kingdom stretches out in distance today, which should help.

Race 7: Skipat Stakes

#10 Fille dEsprit has hit the board in three straight stakes races. #9 Time Limit has hit the board in an amazing 14 straight races. Two starts back she won a similar race to this one at Laurel Park.

Race 8: Dinner Party Stakes (G2)

At his best, there is no doubt #3 Set Piece is good enough to get the job done in this spot, but must improve off of his last race. #6 Atone has been facing much tougher company. Two starts back, he was 1 3/4-lengths behind Colonel Liam in the Pegasus World Cup Turf (G1), while last time out he was within one-length of winning the Makers Mark Mile (G1) at Keeneland.

Race 9: Chick Lang Stakes (G3)

#1 Cogburn was an impressive winner off of the layoff last time out, but was defeated narrowly by Whelen Springs last time out, who also looks to have a big shot in this race. #5 Old Homestead looks for his fourth straight race today after an ultra-impressive victory last time out in the Lafayette Stakes at Keeneland.
