Rocket Picks 🚀: Churchill Downs, Pimlico, and Belmont Park for May 20, 2022

It’s Black-Eyed Susan day and we’re fired up for a big day! We’ve been HOT lately, so there is no reason why we can’t keep that rolling this week. For the free pick 4, we will head to Belmont Park once again for the late sequence on the card. Race 6: Starter Optional Claiming

#1 Silipo was second at this level last time out, while he could improve today running second off of the claim for Linda Rice. #3 Doin’ittherightway will look to make it tow in a row after a nice victory against similar runners last time out. He also runs first off of the claim for Maker today.

Race 7: Allowance Optional Claiming

#6 Khali Magic has been solid at this level in her last three stars, hitting the board in all three starts. She matches up very well with this field. #5 Bank On Anna won two in a row before losing to stakes company last time out. This drop back down in class should make her tough to beat today.

Race 8: Allowance Optional Claiming

#8 Graded On a Curve runs off of a layoff today, which is a question mark, but won at this level and distance the last time we saw him. He also had Chad Brown on his side. #7 Ruse was a solid second at Gulfstream Park last time out and should improve today in his second start off of the layoff. The stretch out in distance will also help his chances.

Race 9: Maiden Claiming

#4 Pivotal Run drops back down to the maiden claiming ranks for this one, which is where he is most competitive. #8 Topic Changer will make his debut in this spot for Clement, who is always solid with first time starters. He can win here if he fires a nice race, with this field leaving a lot to be desired.
