Rocket Picks 🚀: Gulfstream Park, Oaklawn Park, and Aqueduct for December 31, 2021

Race 6: Claiming

#6 Archiemyboy will look to make it two in a row after an allowance victory at Hawthorne last time out. This race will be tougher, though. #10 Drenas Star ran well last time out against tougher company, and should improve today with this drop down in class. However, the horse is now scratched.

Race 7: Maiden Special Weight

Keep an eye on #13 Apprehend in this spot. He needs one scratch to draw in, but if he does, he is the one to beat. In his debut race, he ran second behind 2-year-old champion Corniche. #8 Insolito debuts today for Brad Cox, who is once again having a solid Oaklawn Park meet.

Race 8: Allowance

#4 Matareya drops down in class after taking on tough company in her last two starts. This filly has shown solid ability in all of her starts. #1 Hypersport broke her maiden impressively last time out over this track. Her early speed will work to her advantage today.

Race 9: Allowance

#8 Miz Blue won an allowance at Hawthorne two starts back, before finishing third last time out in a similar race over this track. #7 Oscarette broke her maiden nicely last time out at Churchill Downs. This is the logical next step up the ladder for her.
