Rocket Picks 🚀: Oaklawn Park, Gulfstream Park, and Santa Anita Park for December 30, 2022

Let’s get another big Friday of racing kicked off today! For the free pick 4, we will head to Gulfstream Park for the Late Pick 4 on the card. We will also have full card selections for opening day at Santa Anita and Oaklawn Park for the paid Rockets, so be sure to check those out. Let’s GO!

Gulfstream Park December 30, 2022

Race 6: Maiden Optional Claiming

We have singled #6 Mama Maria in this spot for the late pick 4 today She has should I experience over the rest of this group, while getting a jockey upgrade to Irad Ortiz, Jr. We also used #3 Fortuna Belle and #5 Buc N Beauty in the Pick 5.

Race 7: Starter Optional Claiming

This one looks like it will have a logical finish, which is also good, but there are several logical horses entered in the race. That made us go four deep in this spot, which we could afford to do by going shorter in the earlier races in the sequence.

Race 8: Allowance Optional Claiming

This is probably the most wide-open race on the card today. We went with a couple of logical horses in #3 Therapist and #7 Causin Mayhem, who fit well at this class level and distance. We also think #1 Red Hornet and #12 Battle Scars can win here at a price.

Race 9: Claiming

We went four deep in this spot to close out the card with several of these looking like logical choices. #4 Tone Feelin is who we like best, and the horse is also the biggest price, so hopefully we are correct with that opinion. #7 Hierro is the deserving favorite and also one we are using.
