Rocket Picks 🚀: Gulfstream Park and Aqueduct for January 5, 2023

Race 6: Starter Optional Claiming

We will kick off the late pick 4 going four deep in a race that looks completely wide-open. Obviously, we have no strong opinion in this race, so we just used as many horses as possible to try and get through to the next leg of this one.

Race 7: Allowance

Our opinions strengthen in this race, where we will go two deep using #2 Elle Est Forte and #4 Bravo Kitten. Both has solid connections, which is always important at this track, while both hold a nice speed figure advantage over the rest of the field.

Race 8: Maiden Special Weight

#1 Collaborate takes a massive drop down in class for this one, which is something he should enjoy. The horse was heavily hyped at one time, obviously that did not work out well, but at this level he should dominate if he has anything left in the tank. #4 American Prince can pick up the pieces if the heavy favorite isn’t up to task.

Race 9: Allowance

The last legs at Gulfstream Park can be a little tricky. We have went four deep to close this thing out, while having two nice prices involved with #9 Garmento and #11 Rugged Union. Hopefully one of those two can win to juice up the payouts.
