Rocket Picks 🚀: Del Mar, Gulfstream Park, and Saratoga for August 5, 2022

Race 7: Claiming

#5 Ragtime Blues drops down in class for this one after running well against starter allowance runners at Laurel Park and Pimlico. #9 Auburn Hills looks like the lone speed in today’s race, while the stretch out in distance could help his chances today.

Race 8: National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2)

#9 Tiz the Bomb should rebound from a poor effort last time out after getting a horrible trip in the Belmont Derby (G1). This is also a decent drop in class for him today. #1 Chanceux should get a solid trip from this inside post as long as he breaks well. He could take this field gate to wire today.

Race 9: Troy Stakes (G3)

#5 Golden Pal is the best turf sprinter in the country, while he seems to love Saratoga, picking up two easy wins over this track in the last two years. He should make it three for three in this spot today. #4 Carotari can run second here with a top effort; however, he must rebound from a poor race last time out at Monmouth Park.

Race 10: Maiden Claiming

#6 Wicked Lady gets back to the dirt today, while also dropping down in class, which should help his chances. #3 Regal Rebel also will get back to the dirt for this race, while running second off of the layoff in this spot. She also will be taking a nice drop down in class.
