Rocket Picks 🚀: Belmont Park, Keeneland, and Santa Anita Picks for October 23, 2021

We are now just two weeks away from the Breeders’ Cup! The free Rockets 🚀 returns to Santa Anita on Saturday afternoon! We’ll try to play a pound ticket today, with the sequence looking chalky, in hopes of cashing in on a nice score. The sequence features the Lure Stakes, as well as three other high caliber races.

Race 6: Allowance Optional Claiming

#1 Big Sweep has speed figures that should dominate this field. She always runs well at Santa Anita, while barely missing in some tough races at Del Mar this Summer. #4 Founders Day nearly missed at this level last time out at Los Alamitos. A repeat effort makes her a player in this spot.

Race 7: Lure Stakes

#1 Neptunes Storm takes a big time drop in class for this race after facing tough company in his last few starts. He should outclass this group today. #2 Order and Law also will be dropping in class for this race. The last time he started on the turf at Santa Anita he picked up an allowance victory.

Race 8: Allowance Optional Claiming

#4 Barbwire looked solid last time out winning a maiden special weight at Santa Anita. The speed figure earned in that race is the highest amongst todays group. #3 Synthesis has hit the board in seven straight starts. He is one of the more consistent runners at this level in California.

Race 9: Maiden Special Weight

#12 Urban sticks out from a speed figure standpoint in this race. However, this far outside post could hurt her. We’ll use three other horses here at big price with her, trying to catch a price to round out this sequence.
