Rocket Picks 🚀: Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, and Gulfstream Park for July 2, 2022

It’s another big weekend of racing and we are ready to roll! For the free pick 4, we will head to Belmont Park for the Late Pick 4 on the card. We will also have full card selections for Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park for the paid Rockets, so be sure to check those out. Last week we hit several pick 4 and pick 5’s, including a $1,400+ pick 5 at Belmont and a $993 pick 5 at Churchill Downs!

Race 7: Allowance

#2 Shes a Mia runs second off of the layoff for Clement after a solid showing last time out against similar runners. If she moves forward off of that race she will be tough today. #3 Autumn Glory was a neck away from victory at this level last time out. Look for her to be tough again today.

Race 8: Dwyer Stakes (G3)

#1 Charge It drops down in class for this race looking for a confidence booster after a disaster in the Kentucky Derby. He was second in the Florida Derby two starts back. #6 Nabokov will jump up to stakes company in this spot after a sharp maiden special weight win for Brown in his last start.

Race 9: Allowance

#10 OGotten Girl comes back off of a layoff today; however, Pletcher usually has them ready to fire. Her best effort is good enough to beat this group at what should be a decent price. #7 She’s the One gets back to the allowance ranks today, which is where she won two starts back at Aqueduct.

Race 10: Allowance

#12 Poet of Life makes her United States debut in this spot for Brown, with Prat aboard, which is a good sign this horse possesses some talent. #3 Jerry the Nipper will try the turf today after hitting the board in two straight allowance races over the dirt. He has a decent pedigree for the turf.
