Rocket Picks 🚀: Aqueduct, Keeneland, and Oaklawn Park for April 16, 2023

Race 6: Maiden Claiming

#8 Kid Shelleen was close at this level last time out and seemed to improve running for a new trainer. He is the one to beat today. #2 Daryl’s Bolt gets major class relief after a poor start last time out against tougher runner. He should improve running at this level.

Race 7: Claiming

#2 Judo gets an easier field today that what he has faced in his first two starts this season at Oaklawn Park. #6 Recker Point runs first off the claim for Chris Hartman, which should lead to an improved performance. His races this year at Oaklawn have been decent at times.

Race 8: Allowance

#5 Pats Property was a solid second last time out when running off of a long layoff. We should see improvement from him today in this spot. #8 Ten Gauge has finished at this level and over this track in three straight starts. Today’s field isn’t quite as strong as what he has been facing.

Race 9: Claiming

#4 Lord M was a neck away from victory last time out when running at this level, which was also his first start for McKnight, who can improve a horse. #3 Westheimer Street gets major class relief in this spot today after running poorly in back to back allowance races over this track.
