Rocket Picks 🚀: Oaklawn Park, Gulfstream Park, and Santa Anita for March 9, 2023

Race 6: Claiming

#2 Quincy Cafe was a solid third last time out against tougher runners over this track. The class drop should make him tough today. #3 Dominican Ice also will get class relief today after a poor effort last time out. He also cuts back in distance, which should help his chances.

Race 7: Maiden Optional Claiming

#4 Get Khozy moves back to the synthetic surface today after running third last time out against maiden special weight runners over the turf. #5 Instinctual will move over to the synthetic surface after back to back poor efforts over the dirt. He will also run first off the claim for Saffie Joseph, Jr.

Race 8: Starter Optional Claiming

#1 Pachanga Loca should rebound today from a poor effort in her last start. Her best effort is good enough to beat these horses in this spot. #3 Flag Woman has been running consistently well at this level at Tampa Bay Downs. This field looks similar to those fields.

Race 9: Allowance Optional Claiming

#9 Fulminate runs first off the claim for a solid Gulfstream Park trainer after running second at this level and distance in her last start. #6 Speed Salsa should rebound today from a poor race in her last start. If she does, she can win this one at a nice price.
